yeah, I caved, I’m on twitter now. http://twitter.com/evilantnie
It’s my parents fault, my mom had an account before I did. I don’t know what to make of this. Do I loose some geek-cred for this?

Marriage is a very serious disease.
Last year I was attending my friend’s wedding in NYC, which was a great time, but I had to leave at some point. Since Virgin America was (and still is) offering super cheap airfare I was flying out of JFK’s international terminal. Now, in my experience international terminals can be a nightmare in terms of security lines so I decided to be smart and show up roughly 3 hours ahead of time. Apparently I had a really fast cabbie because I got to JFK 4 hours before my flight AND there wasn’t a goddamned person in the terminal, save for a few other people who probably made the same wise choice I did.

For those of you who’ve been there, that international terminal in JFK is a long sucker. Theres something like 30 gates that stretch down a single walkway for maybe a quarter mile. I was bored, and had 4 hours to kill, so I decided to walk from one end to the other. As I approached the far side of the terminal I noticed some extremely bright lights, so bright it actually hurt to look at them. Now, i’m mildly attracted to shiny, bright objects so I decided to inspect further. As I got closer I noticed that there was a movie being filmed, SCORE!
I decided to plant myself down close enough to the action to see what was going on. A few security guards were hiding around and they made me move back a bit further but I just sat and watched. Most of the action was happening out of range of my sight for awhile, but eventually they switch shooting angles and I ended up within range. That’s when I noticed John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph, I checked out what projects they were working on in imdb and Sam Mendes’ new film popped up. I decided to stay and see what happened!
By this time, due to the new shot angle, all of the extras were moving into the area where I was sitting. I decided to try and blend in, maybe I’d end up in a shot!

It totally worked! Go watch the trailer for “Away We Go” here If you stop at the 54 second mark and tap the keys a few frames you’ll see me sitting there with my distinguishable hat that everyone knows me from.
That is all.
I don’t know what I’m doing, but I invite you on my pointless journey which starts…..now.
